Kelly Hoffman is a trial attorney who enthusiastically tends to clients' legal matters.  Her practice ranges from employment and discrimination matters, insurance defense and subrogation, and professional liability defense, to business defense and prosecution, OSHA compliance and investigations, and tax concerns.  Kelly is frequently sought by insurance companies, hospitals, educational institutions, small business employers, educators, and medical professionals to present at seminars on matters of employment, ethics, risk management, and professional liability.  She joined our firm in 2010, and has consistently ranked in New England Super Lawyers as a Rising Star, an honor bestowed upon only 2.5 percent of her peers.  Best Lawyers recognized Kelly in 2018 for her work in:  Litigation - Labor and Employment and Professional Malpractice Law - Defendants.

Kelly's undergraduate and master studies focused on international studies and economics.  She is fluent in German and speaks Polish and Italian.  While attending the University of Maine School of Law, she worked as a summer associate at the Viennese law firm of Hausmaninger Kletter in Austria, assisting multi-national corporations in resolving disputes and participating in complex international arbitration.  During law school, Kelly was a member of Moot Court Board and awarded recognition for writing the Best Respondent's Brief.  She also was an editior for the Ocean and Coastal Law Journal and authored an article about the international debate surrounding alewives and the use of shared fishing ladders by Canada and the United States.

Kelly served as aide to Virginia Senator John W. Warner while an undergraduate student at Johns Hopkins University.  As a star athlete, she was a goalkeeper for both the Hopkins field hockey and lacrosse teams and was honored as an All-American in field hockey.  In August 2017, she was named by the U.S. Women's Masters Olympic Field Hockey Committee to one of its five training squads preparing for the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Masters World Cup scheduled to start July 27, 2018, in Terrassa, Spain.
